Amaechi declare to contest under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari on May 2023.
He is the first cabinet minister member under Buhari government to declare his intention to succeed his predecessor come May 29, 2023.
The right honourable minister make the declaration on Saturday at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt, during the Rivers APC Thanksgiving service.
“I stand before you today to declare my intention and submit my application to serve as your next President”. The former National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole,
current APC National Vice Chairman South-South Victor Giadom, Senator Ali Ndume, among other top APC chiefs were present at the ceremony.
Amaechi joined other politicians like Bola Tinubu, and Governor Yahya Bello for presidency race under APC.
